SUMMER HOLIDAY, HOT WEATHER...THINK, WATER SAFETY!

    9 July 2026 (by admin)

We have sent the following correspondence out to all parents via MCAS. Please make sure you read through it carefully. Every little helps!

    Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the summer holidays and spend more time enjoying the warmer weather, we would like to remind everyone about the importance of staying safe around water.
Whether visiting beaches, rivers, lakes, canals, or swimming pools, please take a moment to talk to your child about water safety. The RNLI recommends four simple safety messages:
    • Stop and Think – Check for dangers before entering the water.
    • Stay Together – Never go near water alone.
    • Float – If in trouble, float on your back and stay calm.
    • Call 999 or 112 – In an emergency, ask for the Coastguard if at the coast.
We have attached via your MCAS email correspondence some helpful water safety resources for you to share with your family.
We hope you have a safe, enjoyable, and relaxing summer holiday.
    Kind regards,
    St. Bernard's Catholic Primary School
