News Stories YEAR 6 to YEAR 7 - secondary school applications (for September 2025) Already our Y6 children are visiting OPEN EVENTS in local secondary schools because, believe it or not, SECONDARY SCHOOL will soon be on the educational horizon. PLEASE BE EXTRA VIGILANT - parking outside school Unfortunately, after school yesterday, some children and parents witnessed a car deliberately having its windows smashed. The car was parked near St. Bernard's school premises. SCHOOL ATTENDANCE MATTERS - new LEGISLATION 2024 the DEPARTMENT for EDUCATION are driving the national agenda regarding pupil attendance. It's IMPORTANT you stay in the NATIONAL school attendance loop! YEAR 6...LONDON BOUND TODAY - MONDAY 23rd September 2024 Our wonderful YEAR 6 children have now left for the HOUSES of PARLIAMENT - a day in London. We wish them all the very best for what will be a most interesting and informative day. Y5 WHITEMOOR LAKES meeting - Thursday this week Year 5 parents are invited to a quick meeting all about the WHITEMOOR LAKES RESIDENTIAL. Simply make your way to the lower school hall on Thursday after school. Pick your Y5 child up as usual and walk back through the main school reception area. YEAR 6 RETURN FROM LONDON - approx 8.15pm Our wonderful (and no doubt, slightly tired) YEAR 6 children return to school at approx 8.15pm. All in the comfort and palm of your hand - read all about your child's school, your chosen school, St. Bernard's BUSY Catholic Primary School. ART EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY in school - come along and check it out FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY to check out the SCHOOL ART EXHIBITION. It was INTERNATIONAL DOT DAY in town this week and school staff and children worked incredibly hard producing FABULOUS WORK.
