News Stories WAKE GREEN ROAD - still significant issues We still have major concerns about the ongoing safety issues regarding the WAKE GREEN ROAD. Please, please, please, keep your child safely in view when leaving school, AND BE EXTRA VIGILANT WHEN CROSSING ON THE ZEBRA CROSSING ZONE! HOLY WEEK - journeying with Christ The mood and atmosphere of our school assemblies will change slightly next week because we are having a very special and poignant STATIONS OF THE CROSS focus. The staff and children have been working towards this... HERE IS THE NEWS...the latest and most informative NEWSLETTER (out today!) No excuse for not knowing what's going on in your child's busy, busy, busy Catholic Primary School - the NEWSLETTER SWAY leads the informative way. The school mobile app adds that little bit extra. The school website keeps you in the loop. WELL DONE to our CONFIRMATION CHILDREN A beautiful and most spiritually uplifting Confirmation Mass last night. Credit goes to all of our Y6 Sacramental children who simply shone during the service. Bishop David Evans was most impressed. NO WOODWIND CONCERT - CANCELLED TODAY There was a scheduled WOODWIND concert timetabled for later this morning. This has been CANCELLED. The woodwind teacher will reschedule it accordingly. CLASS ASSEMBLY - Year 1H THURSDAY 14th March 2024 They are currently rehearsing in the school hall...the music is blasting out...the singing is...ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Year 1H are nearly READY TO GO! It is all about 'PEOPLE WHO INSPIRE US' PLEASE PRAY for our 'JOURNEY of FAITH' CONFIRMATION CHILDREN Our JOURNEY of FAITH CONFIRMATION children will soon receive the very special SACRAMENT of CONFIRMATION. They affirm their precious faith! They celebrate this with Bishop David on Wednesday 13th March at English Martyrs Church. OUR LENTEN SCHOOL JOURNEY 2024 Lent reminds us that this is the season to turn away from worldly distractions and return to God. It is a time of inner reflection, and at the end of the journey, we should expect to find ourselves at a different place spiritually than when we started. HATS CAN HELP - a call for WARM HATS - radiate some positivity! We are having our DAY of ACTION in school today. It's what we do to try to make a difference! James, our DAY OF ACTION LEADER, is visiting Calais later this week. He is taking HATS, WARM HATS and any DONATION OF HATS to refugees and migrants. BLESSED MONTH of RAMADAN During this special month of Ramadan for so many of our parents, families aim to grow spiritually and build stronger relationships with Allah. Some of our Year 5 and Year 6 children have decided to 'fast' during this special event.
